is anyone else having trouble getting it to work? the box for entering txt shows up on all pages except the main page. like it shows up on profiles, but not the home page. i was wondering if this was happening to anyone else.

Menyon_talk community thread is the only one I've seen on the Menyon site so far.. there are no threads in any of the groups areas I've been in {all but a hand full}. I"m freaking again cause the site is just not working with my dial up. The bam banners are all coming up as little red x's in white boxes. I can't find where I put my own banner for my own use, and if I use that "dashboard" thing, my location thing defaults back to state, country crap.I got sick of having to put the same info in again and again >:-( ... so far my first impression is NOT GOOD, and I am seriously hoping that it is only becuase it's in test modee [???] that all these things are like that.

true, far easier to find what you want on the bbs, but they want to "improve" the postings by using Facebook posting ways [which I detest and is one of the main reasons I can't stand Facbook] //dot

ladies i understand your concerns. but 1. you know they dont approve of this kinda of talk (not the thread moira) on the bbs w/o envoking the mod's wrath and 2. they come up with this test site very shortly after the last one...dont you realise that they have done all this for hte fans including the bbs that is HUGE and FREE...of course they are going to continue take into account certain things. sometimes there can be MULTIPLE roll outs with sites of this magnitude so when carl says that the site is "scaled back" that means exactly that. it will take time for bugs to be ironed out. just enjoy the bbs for now and wait for serious concerns and stating serious opinions when the site is FINISHED. enjoy it all for now!! *sympathetic hugs all around*

ur opinion is fine luna and your allowed to have it. duh ;) but as you said yourself... your "ranting" and you know that ranting isnt allowed on the bbs. none of us users can do anything about it and the best way to let them know there are issues is to keep telling them about it. posting the same irritation in multiple threads is really going to just cause flare ups and more problems. so instead of starting problems why not be apart of the solution in a way that is productive... this way... only gets people more upset. and it angers the mods. if you've already msg'd them... then great! be patient while they try to fix things... itll work out. have faith.

yes I do know all this, how will they know if the site is working properly for ALL of us is we don't say anything. I'm having major gliches and am ranting cause I'm irritated I can't enjoy the site. We don't get more info about the site till we gripe about it.

Maybe if they just posted a "THIS IS THE LONG TERM PLAN" and posted phase one is "THIS" and phase two we add "THAT" fewer peeps would be having fits. If they'd told us that banners will be an option later on, the bammers wouldn't freak out, or people won't say they hate what the new site looks like, cause it's only partially there.

I knew the board before this board and it was such a great development they did after the old one (keeping the messages for a long time instead as deleting the messages when there are a lot new ones there- but it really needs a lot of ressources so I understand if they have to return to a system where deleting old messages is possible again- if the new one now maybe is like that.)

It was easier to read new messages at the old board because they did appear at the top of the page and the oldest at the bottom were deleted and than later at this board here with the thread function I only choose the thread and read the newest messages there.
There are good and bad points with every system you use, I know.
facebooks style doesn't really tell me anything because I rarely use it.

Feature not added yet. They need to see how many there are of us to get an idea of bandwidth. Its really bad when we crash the server! So stuff like that is hold of on so they can estimate what they will need.

according to my computer screen there are no chat options [threads] in the group area. the only thing showing in the groups area for me is the names of who's joined. Dont feel bad Luna,, I dont see anymore than you do. I understand alot of it is under development, and supposed to be amazing so I will reserve judgment
once it is fully up and working.
I am not now or have ever discounted the amount of work that Sherri or her team have put into this site, or what they give to the fans, and I know that the fans appreciate it ALOT or we wouldn't be here waiting for what if being promised to us, they have always gone above and beyond the call of duty for the fans. But sometimes the best of intentions can go awry. Not everyone is going to be pleased with what is done and thats part of life. Ill live with it.

I would like to say that after having a chance to talk to Sherri at the Ann Arbor signing, Fans if you can try to hold out until around Christmas to pass judgment on this site I am sure that the staff( which right now while the tour is going on is about 3 people..not lot of people to be managing this site) would greatly appreciate it.

From what Sherri and I talked about, there IS alot more to come here, No, it is not going to be what we have here, and its going to require some readjusting, but she assured me it would be better, more features, more things to do, more interaction, and hopefully, please everyone here. I am willing to give it that time for them to finish with what all she told me is coming. Interaction with characters, ability to have conversations with each other, book discussions (which is one feature we already have), posting B.A.M. contests and judging, pictures, group discussions, and more.
So lets give them time to get it all in place and running properly before chopping their heads off. Its not so long to wait is it?
